Flotsam and Jetsam

Snow day here in most of Massachusetts - so the kids are all home and my hopes of a truly productive day are dashed... You have to be happy for Pete Carroll. He's just a nice guy and it's good to see nice guys finish first. He's also building a dynasty out there at USC which will make any arguments over the BCS moot. I have to laugh when I see Pete as a potential replacement for Dennis Erickson at San Francisco. Why in the world would Carroll ever take that job? He already has more talent at USC (they would be 10 point favorites against the 4th and 9ers) and Pete owns Los Angeles... I'm glad to see Pokey Reese land in a spot where he can start. Seattle now may have the left side of the infield with the most range in all of baseball. People forget that Beltre used to be a shortstop... Teri Hatcher not getting any should be a bigger story... If the Mets sign Carlos Beltran - what are the chances that Mike Cameron gets traded back to Seattle? I think that trade would work for everyone involved...
