Red Sox 6 - Yankees 2

Balance in the universe is restored as Boston sends the MFing Yankees home for the season. Anything else that happens in the playoffs is gravy.

Like many Sox fans - things got a little dusty for me when Jerry Remy came in to throw the first pitch. For non-Red Sox fans you must understand that Remy has been part of our lives for decades and decades. He's battling cancer and when I saw him I was both saddened and sure that the Red Sox were going to win this game. No way they were going to lose this game.

Also glad to see some Boston bleacher creatures know how to properly celebrate a home run.

  1. Geez, he is younger than I am. Best wishes to him. His and Curt Gowdy's voice are linked forever to the Red Sox
