I’m surprised that nobody has come up with a cartoon character named Cock-eyed the Sailor Man. The name kinda reminds you of Popeye. The character could have been from Butte, Montana, only have one eye and been a pirate. Yep – Cock-eyed the Sailor a one-eyed Butte pirate.... I still say that Lew Ford is the AL ROY... Now they tell me!... Last year after 3 games - Curtis Martin only had 133 yards on 40 carries. This year Martin already has 315 yards on 61 carries... An oldie but a goodie... If you are a Dodgers fan - losing Brad Penny can't feel good. If healthy - Penny could have been the ace of that staff. If the Dodgers have a weakness it's the fact that they have no ace. They have a bunch of number 3 guys (Weaver, Perez, Ishii)... Who knew? In the AL the guy you want up at bat for your team with the bases loaded is Ross Gload who is hitting .727 this year (8 for 11) with the sacks full... In 1971 the Baltimore Orioles had four 20-game winners (Cueller, Dobson, Palmer and McNally). This year there may only be two or three teams with just one 20-game winner...
