The Question is - Will the Democrats Oppose this Law?

It seems that lately the Democrats automatically take the opposite position of the Republicans on almost any issue. Having said that - is it possible for them to take a contrary position on this law?

If the question comes up in the debates - will Kerry misunderstand the question as some sort of jab at his wife?
