AFI - Top 100 Songs

Here is the American Film Institute's list of the top 100 all-time songs from US movies.

A couple of observations on the list:

- they have Goldfinger listed as the top song from a Bond movie but that honor should go to Wings' Live and Let Die (which isn't even on the list)

- the theme to Shaft makes the list but the theme music from The Godfather does not? (I know that the song Shaft probably outsold the theme to The Godfather but hey - these are my observations)

- Stuck in the Middle with You by Steeler's Wheel from Resevoir Dogs should be on the list (if you saw the movie - then you know exactly what I'm talking about)

- The End by the Doors from Apoclypse Now should be on the list

- James Brown's Living in America from Rocky IV should be on the list

- The Entertainer (theme from The Sting) should be top 10 but it's not even on the list. You hear that song and you automatically think Redford and Newman

- What about the guys from Jaws singing Show Me the Way To Go Home? OK - I'll give you that one.

- The theme song from The Excorcist isn't on the list. That's a travshamockery! You hear that song and immediately you see subconscious skulls and crossbones. The name of the song is Tubular Bells by the way.

- What about the Battle Hymn of the Republic from The Right Stuff? OK - I'll give you that one too.
