(Normally I would call this post "Miscellaneous Thoughts" but I get so many more hits on the site by titling it Lauren Jackson Naked)

It seems like much longer than four months since the Patriots won the Superbowl... You would think that the Patriots would be the early favorites to win Superbowl XXXIX but that honor currently goes to the Eagles. The Eagles are 11/2 to win it all while the Patriots are 6/1 (Indianapolis is a 7/1 pick)... In case you are curious - Duke is the early favorite to win the 2005 NCAA Basketball Championship at 9/2. North Carolina is the only other college in single digit odds at 8/1. Holy Cross is a surprising 14/1 (but of course that is part of the field bet - hope I didn't confuse non-gamblers out there although I would find it funny if people started to say that Holy Cross is one of the favorites to win March Madness next year)... Best game ever! I've named the drunk guy "Gordie" (hat tip to Hockey Goon)... David Bell became the 242nd player to hit for the cycle last night...
