More Miscellaneous Thoughts

I don't know how I missed the fact that Robin Ventura pitched an inning of mop-up relief last night for the Dodgers. Ventura gave up just one hit and no runs in one inning...For all the hype some people are trying to drum up for Michael Moore's new movie - the fact is it will probably be seen by less people than the new White Chicks movie... Supposedly Bill Simmons now has his own page at ESPN.com but how do you get to it? His columns still pop up on Page 2 and if you click on his face - it takes you to his archives. There is something called the Bill Simmons Home Page but it hasn't been updated since Thursday (and his NBA draft column isn't on it). Simmons is starting to look like the Joe Charboneau of sportswriters (PS - the cartoon of him makes me think of a gay Steve Marriucci)... With Aron Boone signing with the Indians - the stock in Joe Randa just went up... Tim Kurkjian is 100% right when he says the key to the Cardinals is their pitching depth. What team out there wouldn't want their 5th starter to be 6-5 with a 3.75 ERA?...
