Complete Games

Last night Curt Schilling recorded his 3rd complete game of the season. So far this year he is the only Red Sox starter to record a complete game. There have been no shutouts by the Red Sox pitching staff this year.

Do you realize that in 1975 for the Red Sox between Luis Tiant, Bill Lee and Rick Wise – they had 52 complete games and 7 shutouts? In 1986 between Roger Clemens Bruce Hurst and Oil Can Boyd – they had 31 complete games and 3 shutouts. Last year - the Red Sox had just 5 complete games (led by Pedro's 3).

Time certainly have changed.
