Tejada vs. A-Rod

In a way - A-Rod's move to third base may have saved him from the reality that he'd be the second best shortstop in the American League this year. Take a look at the stats this year:

A-Rod: .283 BA / .370 OBP / .521 SLG / 83 Runs / 30 HR / 73 RBI

Tejada: .314 BA / .365 OBP / .532 SLG / 77 Runs / 23 HR / 108 RBI

One thing to keep in mind is that Tejada thrives under pressure. This season he has hit .320 with RISP and .381 with RISP and 2 outs! A-Rod is hitting just .213 this year with RISP and a Pokey Reese like .135 with RISP with 2 outs.
