Buyers and Sellers - Blue Jays

The Blue Jays have very slim chances of making the playoffs (even though I picked them as the AL wild card). Most likely the Blue Jays will be sellers and their most valuable commodity will be Carlos Delgado but I don't think they will be trading him. Why? Because Delgado is maybe the most popular player the franchise has ever had and there is still a good chance that the team and Delgado can come to an agreement that makes sense for both sides.

So if Delgado is not on the market - then who will the Blue Jays have to sell? The answer is middle relievers Terry Adams, Justin Speier and Kerry Ligtenberg. All three make over $1 million and all three are over 30-years old. The Blue Jays also have a pretty well stocked farm system - so I wouldn't be surprised if JP Riccardi packaged one of those middle relievers with a prospect in order to get a better prospect in return.
