Presidential Address

I think President Bush did a good job in outlining the strategy in Iraq but just to be pre-emptive - here are some talking points / punch lines you can look forward to in the next 24 hours (please note that if you hear or read any of these - you can be pretty sure that the person saying it is more concerned with defeating Bush in November than what is right for Iraqis or in the security of this nation).

- President Bush outlined a 5-step plan for Iraqi sovereignty (look for some people to make AA 12 step jokes)

- President Bush did have trouble pronouncing Ab Ghraib prison (rimshot)

- Not all the networks carried the speech (look for quips about A Beautiful Mind or the The Swan )

I have no problem with Jay Leno / David Letterman type jokes coming from Leno and Letterman but do you really want monologue jokes from the newspeople who are supposed to be giving you information instead of punchlines?
