Kevin Garnett

Just thought I'd mention this - Kevin Garnett just turned 28-years old. He has 13,864 career NBA regular season points.

By the time Kareem Abdul-Jabar was done with the season in which he turned 28 - he had 14,295 points.

Right now Garnett is averaging 20 points per game while Kareem finished his career with a little better than 24 ppg average. So Kevin has a little work ahead of him if he wants to catch Kareem. It should also be noted that by the time Kareem was 29 - he already had three NBA MVP trophies.

(It also should be noted that as a Celtics fan - writing anything nice about Kareem comes at the price of great personal pain.)
